Torque puts a camera on your technicians, so you should know exactly what happens to what it captures. This policy covers two things: the information you give us through this website, and the video, audio and records Torque captures at your dealership.
Who we are
Ecstatia, Inc. (“Ecstatia”, “we”, “us”) builds Torque, a headset technicians wear and the software agents that turn what it captures into inspections, customer videos, warranty stories and follow-ups.
Information you give us on this website
When you book a demo, we collect what you type into the form: your name, work email, phone number (optional), dealership and number of service bays.
With each request we also record the page it was sent from, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link, and the time it was sent.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are useful. It reports aggregate traffic and does not use cookies to follow you across sites.
- Calculator values. The numbers you set in the cost calculator are saved in your own browser, so the same values appear on the Getting started page. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
How we use it
- To reply to you, schedule and run your demo, and send you a quote.
- To understand which parts of this website help people, and improve them.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website, and they handle information only to provide their service to us:
- FormSubmit delivers form submissions to our inbox.
- Vercel hosts this website and provides the analytics described above.
- Our email provider, which stores the messages we send and receive.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.
What Torque captures at your dealership
When a technician wears the Torque headset, it records video and audio of the job they are working on. Torque uses that footage, and what the technician says, to fill in the inspection, produce the customer walkthrough and write the warranty story. When your dealership turns on calling, customer calls placed by Torque are recorded, transcribed and logged on the repair order.
- Your dealership owns it. Footage, audio, transcripts and records belong to the dealership, stay tied to its repair orders, and are handled by us on the dealership’s behalf under its agreement with Ecstatia.
- Customers see only what you send. A vehicle owner sees footage of their car only when the dealership sends it to them.
- Vehicle owners: if you have a question about a video, call or record of your vehicle, contact the dealership that serviced it. They control that information, and we will help them respond.
How long we keep it
We keep website enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and then delete them. Information captured by Torque is kept according to the dealership’s agreement and instructions.
How we protect it
We limit access to the people who need it to do their jobs and use safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing chaitanya@ecstatia.com. If you don’t want to hear from us, reply to any email and say so. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Children
This website and Torque are built for businesses and are not directed at children under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll make it clear on this website.
